OK, for all of you who who have been waiting in anticipation for my next review (all eight of you), you probably know I love comics. So when “The Avengers” was opening, I just had to do this review. Now, excuse me if I gush enthusiasm throughout this review, but it was so very good I can’t help myself.
The buildup was big, but boy, did he deliver. Robert Franek, senior vice president/publisher at Princeton Review and author of “The Best 376 Colleges” and “The Best Value Colleges,” was recently a guest speaker at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, N.C. The Rise Records Freshman Class Tour rolled into Broadway Joe’s on May 2, showcasing the record label’s young, yet full-of-potential bands. Opening the tour was Buffalo’s own Saints and Madmen.

As we all know, in these tough economic times, many school districts are being forced to cut beloved programs because of a lack of funding. The losses are hurting our schools, but one area that is in specific danger is our music programs.

The Future Curators program at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery opened its exhibit to the public last Thursday. The exhibit area was filled with a sense of energy. People were gathered, taking pictures, discussing beautiful works from all types of media and just enjoying themselves.
