NIAGARA FALLS, Ont.—Three workers suffered non-life-threatening injuries when a welding crew hit a natural gas pocket in the Ontario Power Generation’s water diversion tunnel project under the city about 11:30 a.m. Friday, the Ontario Ministry of Labour reported.

Emergency crews were kept busy Wednesday afternoon after a tractor-trailer rolled over on the Fort Erie, Ont., side of the Peace Bridge, and two men canoeing in the Niagara River capsized a short distance off the Rich Marina on the U.S. side.
