State Parks Police and other agencies continued to search today for a man believed to have gone over Niagara Falls Wednesday night.

The search and rescue mission began Wednesday night after some visitors to Niagara Falls State Park reported seeing a white male in the upper rapids above the American Falls about 8:30 p.m.

Parks Police told The Buffalo News late Wednesday they could not confirm that anyone went over the falls, but a police spokeswoman said, "It looks like it was intentional," in referring the the man's jumping into the rapids.
